@whatchasayy "Hey! Was looking up posts on tumblr about medical school and came across your blog. I was also thinking about Caribbean Medical School as one of my choices for Med School. I knew a couple of friends who did go to a Caribbean Med School and they said they liked it. However, they also said it was tough finding residency in the U.S. because of competition between U.S. Medical School and International Med Schools.. Btw your blog looks pretty cool."

To get a strong residency back in the states upon completing courses in a Caribbean school, competitive USMLE scores usually determine whether you get in or not. It’s not where you really came from (or so I’ve been told by some of my college profs). Some Caribbean schools have you do clinicals back in the states, too. I’m still looking up information about various Caribbean schools and so far St. George University and The University of Medicine and Health Sciences in St. Kitts has been on my top list of interests… Going to a foreign medical school is gonna have a lot of tests & licenses to apply for if you want to have a residency back in the U.S., but with a good work ethic and dedication, I think it won’t be SO bad.

And thank you! I checked out your blog, too. I don’t post a lot of medical related material, it’s more of a personal thing, hehe. But I really do appreciate you following me :]
